WAIT LIST FOR NEW CLIENTS
My name is Tara Nimry, I’m a BIPOC therapist (Asian Pacific Islander). I specialize in supporting adults and teens navigating the effects of complex trauma, anxiety, relationship and family challenges, and pregnancy/postpartum anxiety and depression. With a strong commitment to inclusivity, I bring a positive diversity mindset and have experience working with individuals from a wide range of racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Clients often describe me as non-judgmental, compassionate, practical, humorous, quirky, and down-to-earth. I take an eclectic and authentic approach to therapy, placing high value on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful work. This allows me to tailor my methods to meet each client’s unique needs. I am EMDR Certified and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician.
My Story
I’m a therapist with a deep passion for supporting individuals through life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments. Much of my career has been dedicated to working with trauma—from my early work with foster youth and justice-involved teens, to providing care in hospital settings like Rady Children’s Hospital and Sharp Mary Birch for Women and Newborns.
I have years of experience working with teens and genuinely enjoy supporting them through this often overwhelming stage of life. While many therapists find working with adolescents challenging, I’ve always found it to be a natural fit—perhaps because I was a challenging teen myself! I understand the push-and-pull of needing independence while also craving connection, and I bring that understanding into the therapy space with compassion, humor, and patience. Because of this lived experience and deep empathy, teens tend to feel safe and comfortable opening up to me fairly quickly. I create a nonjudgmental environment where they can show up exactly as they are—messy, confused, curious, or guarded—and still feel seen and understood. Whether we’re working through anxiety, identity, peer dynamics, family issues, or just trying to make sense of big emotions, I meet teens where they are and walk alongside them as they find their own voice and path forward.
My clinical experience spans inpatient and outpatient mental health, NICU support, and working with women and families navigating birth trauma, fertility challenges, pregnancy and infant loss, and perinatal mood disorders. I also bring a unique lens with personal experience as a gestational surrogate, and have had the honor of supporting surrogates, intended parents, and birthing parents through the IVF journey.
I am EMDR-certified and grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. As a childhood trauma survivor and a mother of three, I understand firsthand how healing can begin when we feel truly seen, safe, and supported. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. I place high value on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful work.
Why “Words Unspoken”?
I chose the name Words Unspoken because so much of trauma lives in the things we couldn’t say.
Whether it was out of fear, pain, shame, or simply not having the words at the time—those unspoken thoughts and feelings often stay with us, quietly shaping how we see ourselves and move through the world.
Through EMDR therapy, we create space for those hidden parts of your story to surface—gently and safely. It’s a way of giving voice to what was once held inside, and finding relief, clarity, and healing along the way.
Words Unspoken is more than a name—it’s an invitation to speak, to feel, and to heal.
How do you maintain your own life-work balance?
As a San Diego native, I feel lucky to be surrounded by sunshine, beaches, and a strong sense of community. I come from a big local family and have a close circle of friends—spending time with them is one of my greatest joys. Whether I’m hosting a BBQ, playing board games, or cooking for a crowd, being in connection with others fills my cup.
I’m happily married, a proud mom to three amazing adult kids, and have three dogs who keep life full and fun! When I’m not working, you’ll often find me hiking, walking along the beach, or planning my next adventure—I’ve traveled to over 20 countries and love exploring new places, cultures, and food.
Finding balance for me means staying grounded in the things that bring me joy, movement, connection, and rest. It’s how I recharge and show up fully for the work I love.

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Hi! My name is Amber Curry, and I am so happy you are here. Reaching out to obtain help when life becomes challenging is difficult and I SEE YOU. I specialize in supporting teens and adults navigating the effects of complex trauma while facing anxiety, depression and major life transitions. Whether you’re seeking emotional balance, coping with loss, adjusting to a chronic health diagnosis or exploring your identity and where you fit in in the world, I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed and strengths-based space to support your growth. Therapy with me is relational, empowering, and customized to your needs---because your journey is unique.
As a therapist, I am dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s most vulnerable and growth filled seasons. I am deeply committed to working with underserved communities, with experience spanning from the United States Peace Corps, Child Welfare Services, and work with first responders and LGBTQ+ individuals. These experiences have shaped my deep respect for the resilience and strength people carry, even in the face of adversity. I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care and a space where they feel seen, heard, and valued. I incorporate EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to help clients process trauma, reduce anxiety and depression, and reconnect with resilience and self-trust.
My work with first responders focuses on managing the unique stress and trauma that come with serving others. My work with LGBTQ+ and transgender individuals is grounded in authenticity, identity development, and empowerment, supporting clients in living more fully and confidently as themselves. My work with individuals living with chronic illness is grounded in an understanding of its emotional toll, offering compassionate care focused on balance, meaning, and quality of life. Therapy is a space for healing, growth, and rediscovery and it is not always easy. I believe in incorporating humor to help the hard work you do become long-lasting change. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel grounded, confident, and connected to yourself and your life again.
My passion for this field stems from childhood, as both of my parents dedicated their lives to working in helping professions. Because of their commitment to creating change and supporting their communities, I knew from a young age that I wanted to do the same. Beyond the therapy room, you’ll often find me soaking up live music, grounding myself through yoga, breathwork, and sound bowls, and spending time outdoors. I love camping, getting lost in a good backgammon tournament with my partner, nurturing my ever-growing plant collection, and hanging out with my cat, Bell.

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Hi, I’m Savannah Walton, AMFT. I work with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, self-worth, identity shifts, trauma, and relationship patterns. My style is warm, grounding, and deeply relational—I value realness in the room. I show up authentically, with genuine presence and personality, and I invite clients to do the same. I believe therapy works best when it feels human, honest, and collaborative.
A core part of my work involves helping clients move out of their heads and into their bodies—learning to feel emotions rather than analyze them. I use gentle, accessible mind–body tools to support embodiment, emotional awareness, and nervous-system regulation. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what you’re feeling, I meet you exactly where you’re at and help you reconnect with your inner experience in a grounded, compassionate way.
With a background in biology and experience as a certified yoga teacher, I bring a holistic perspective to the therapeutic process. I integrate somatic awareness in a way that feels intuitive and calming, honoring the connection between the body, brain, and emotional health. My work is increasingly centered on perinatal and women’s mental health, with focused training in fertility-related challenges and postpartum emotional wellbeing. This background shapes my nuanced understanding of major life transitions and how they impact identity, relationships, and emotional health. My hope is that you feel more connected, empowered, and at home within yourself. I offer both virtual and in-person sessions and am honored to support you, exactly as you are.
Outside of sessions, I’m often outdoors, drawing flowers, or soaking up the sun and the ocean. I’m introverted at heart and love early mornings and the gentle company of a close friend. After years of living a fast-paced, chaotic lifestyle, I’ve come to really appreciate the simplicities of life and the gratitude they bring.
